William Ward was born on February 1st, 1830 in Bradden, Northamptonshire, England. He was the son of Thomas Ward & Elizabeth Woods. He married Mary Ann Blackwell on June 12th, 1848 in Akeley, Buckinghamshire, England. He and Mary would later leave England and immigrate to the United States in 1852. Later that same year on November 17th, Mary would give birth to their first child, George William Ward. They would go on to have 8 more children, their last one being Rosa Belle Ward, who was born on February 10th, 1872.

In the midst of this, the American Civiil War had come and went. William is even listed on Civil War Draft Registration Documents in Ledyard, New York.

He passed away on August 31st, 1902 in Scipio, New York. Just 20 days after his wife Mary passed away.

Mary Ann Blackwell Was born in May of 1828 in Oxfordshire, England. It is yet unsure who her parents exactly were. All we really know is that a Thomas Blackwell is listed on the Marriage Record in Akeley, Buckinghamshire, England. She would give birth to her and William's first child shortly after arriving on American soil. They would go on to have 8 more children over the next 20 years.

She passed away on August 11th, 1902 in Scipio, New York. 20 days later, her husband William would also pass away.
